Dr Rana Moharam

Dr Moharam is a child and adolescent psychiatrist with experience in the field since 2011. She completed her MBBCh from Cairo University in Egypt, where she practiced psychiatry for four years. She practiced in other specialties too including general adult, older adult, substance misuse and learning disabilities. She also worked for a couple of years with refugees with a mental health organisation that was in partnership with the UNHCR in Egypt.

Dr Moharam started practicing in the UK from 2016. She completed her MRCPsych in 2016 and started focusing her training in the NHS on children and adolescents. She became an NHS consultant in child and adolescent psychiatry, on the specialist register of the GMC in 2020.

From inpatient settings to community settings, Dr Moharam has been able to work with young people going through different and at times complex difficulties. She has managed young people suffering from depression, anxiety, OCD, autism, ADHD, eating disorders, psychosis, attachment difficulties, PTSD and complex PTSD.

Dr Moharam is also very passionate about teaching and training. She has been involved in teaching/training within the NHS, with ARU and Cambridge University.
