
Dr Raj Sankar is a qualified experienced Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in adult mental health, with 21 years of experience in psychiatry. He has worked across a range of NHS services in various sub-specialties of psychiatry, including Perinatal Community Mental Health, General Adult Community Teams, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Adult ADHD services.
During his NHS tenure, he led as a Community Perinatal Consultant Psychiatrist and supported patients via tele-psychiatry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He has completed MRCPsych (Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists) and has completed Certificate of Completion of Higher Training (CCT).
His approach is calm, person-centred, and practical. He uses evidence-based medication where appropriate, and integrates talking therapies, occupational therapy, and social interventions to help people rebuild day-to-day wellbeing and resilience.
