The Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ-10) is a brief screening instrument designed to identify traits associated with autism spectrum conditions in adults. Developed by Simon Baron-Cohen and colleagues at the Autism Research Centre, Cambridge, the AQ-10 is grounded in established diagnostic frameworks and is widely used in clinical and research settings.

The tool consists of 10 items that reflect core areas associated with autism, including social skills, attention to detail, communication, and imagination.

The AQ-10 is utilised for screening purposes and as an initial step in a broader diagnostic process.
